As an experienced workshop presenter, Debra DeVilbiss creates intimate and interactive sessions that help the learner process through to their individual realizations. Hundreds of workshops have been developed and successfully presented ranged from 1 hour to 3 days in length and have accommodated a huge variety of attendees.

In addition to conducting classes in person, Debra can also adapt the subject matter to teleclasses. The handouts are e-mailed to the attendees in advance of the class, and all participants call in on the instructor-provided telephone bridge line. This will most likely be a long-distance call. She has presented to groups as large as 30 using this format. Generally, the longer classes will be broken into smaller 1-hour segments to prevent “ear-burn” (not conducive to learning!)

Workshop design is one of Debra’s favorite areas of expertise and she is always open to hearing of new issues to address. We first assess what the participant needs to walk away with, whether it’s a skill or a personal realization, and then design a venue to convey that lesson. If you have a group of people that seem always to be complaining about the same issue, you have a topic for a workshop.

In addition to the workshop, follow up coaching is always recommended to deepen the learning and to ensure that the behavior changes. It can take the form of re-convening the class weekly on a conference line to hold each other accountable, or individual coaching sessions for a specific amount of time.

Previously Developed Classes


Please note: Each of these classes can be presented as a teleclass, which saves travel time and expense without losing the interactivity of a group. Instructor will provide all handouts and a conference line (if necessary) for each class. Minimum class size is 6.Instructor also offers optional follow up coaching sessions for accountability, to keep motivated, and to stay on track until the skill is integrated.

Turn Contacts into Job Leads
1-2 hrs.

Many people lose out on opportunities because they have never learned the most basic networking principles and the unwritten rules of “keeping in touch.” You will learn strategies that work with your natural reluctance to walk into a group of strangers, and you will develop your own system for keeping track and managing your contact list. Don’t remain stuck when all you need is a little training in a skill most anyone can develop.

Reclaiming the Structure – Managing Time for Maximum Results      1-2 hrs.

When a person separates from employment, they not only lose the income and the identity, they also lose the structure. A person looking for work has lots to do with no external system to manage their time. Somehow watering the plants and cleaning the top of the refrigerator becomes enormously more important than picking up the phone. This class will teach you to take control of how you manage your time so you end your day with accomplishment. You will leave with tools to help organize your efforts.

HELP! I Need A Different Job!
3 - 6 hrs

Learn the process of discovering your next career step whether it’s a different job or a brand new career. In this interactive workshop, we’ll look at defining what work suits you best, job search strategies, and actions plans. You’ll learn how to research and approach the companies you’ll be happiest working for and how to network to find that company.

Help! I Gotta Get a Life
1-2 hrs

Many people spend their life in pursuit and never get to live. They have a nagging feeling that there should be more, but they’re so busy pursuing they don’t take the time to find out what’s missing. In this interactive workshop, you will take time to examine what’s truly important and find ways to make choices that bring fulfillment to your life.

Help! Somethings Gotta Change
1-2 hrs

Change is difficult. The only people who really like change are wet babies. Many people just settle for what they have because the very thought of making significant change is too overwhelming. Come learn the process of initiating desired change by focusing on your vision, skills, incentives, and resources. You may even come up with a plan!

Change is Mandatory, Growth is Optional
1-2 hrs

Being an adult is an evolving thing. Research has shown that adults go through clearly defined “phases” similar to the phases children go through as they grow and mature. When you’re an adult, it’s called a transition and they show up at predictable times in your life. Learn about the chapters of your life and what lies ahead of you. Your future begins with what you do today to make tomorrow happen.

The Essence of You
1-2 hrs

Your most deeply held values influence how you make your choices. Learn how to recognize values in yourself and others and create ways to bring your life into alignment with your values. In this interactive workshop, you will uncover the values that give meaning to your life and create ways to honor the values that are important, so you can live a life with meaning and fulfillment. You will leave with a new understanding of how to create goals that are in alignment with your “true north.”

Create Your Intentions
1-2 hrs

When you focus on your desires with intention, events and people support you in surprising ways. There is a physical world and a non-physical world. When you understand the difference, you will learn the fundamentals of attraction and how to create the life you really want. Leave with goals that are realistic and that support your dream.

What's Stopping You
1-2 hrs

You’ve made a plan and nothing is happening. What is going on? Explore what is stopping you and create your own strategies for overcoming your own blocks. You will leave with specific items to accomplish and someone to hold you accountable.

4 hrs

This program is designed for professionals and consultants who hate marketing, yet need clients for their service business. You will learn which marketing strategies really work and get help on deciding where to start.

During the 4-hour class, you will design a personalized marketing plan to follow for the 28 days. You then meet with your class and a Professional Coach by teleconference twice a week over that time period to stay on track with your plan. Class materials include a copy of the book.
